Ingredients:
- 1 puff pastry sheet (thawed if frozen)
- 4 ham slices
- 4 cheese slices (Swiss, cheddar, or preferred type)
- 1 beaten egg (for egg wash)
- Optional: Sesame seeds (for topping)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the puff pastry package.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet.
- Divide the pastry into four triangles.
- On each triangle, place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese.
- Roll up each triangle, starting from the wide end and finishing at the tip.
- Arrange the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, with the seam side facing down.
- Brush the croissants with beaten egg for a golden finish. Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven following the instructions on the puff pastry package, usually for 15-20 minutes or until they turn golden and puff up.
- Let them cool slightly before serving.
