Savory Ham and Cheese Crescent Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 1 puff pastry sheet (thawed if frozen)
  • 4 ham slices
  • 4 cheese slices (Swiss, cheddar, or preferred type)
  • 1 beaten egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: Sesame seeds (for topping)
    Instructions:
  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the puff pastry package.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet.
  3. Divide the pastry into four triangles.
  4. On each triangle, place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese.
  5. Roll up each triangle, starting from the wide end and finishing at the tip.
  6. Arrange the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, with the seam side facing down.
  7. Brush the croissants with beaten egg for a golden finish. Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven following the instructions on the puff pastry package, usually for 15-20 minutes or until they turn golden and puff up.
  9. Let them cool slightly before serving.
