Pineapple Pie

Ingredients:

1 pre-made pie crust (9 inches)
1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place the pre-made pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the drained crushed pineapple, granulated sugar, flour, cornstarch, and salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Add the vanilla extract and melted butter to the pineapple mixture. Stir until everything is well combined.
Pour the pineapple filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it out evenly.
Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for about 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool completely before serving. This will allow the filling to set.
Serve slices of pineapple pie on their own or topped with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired. Enjoy!
