BEEF/CHICKEN MACARONI & CHEESE

INGREDIENTS
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 2 cups uncooked macaroni
- 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, corn, peas, green beans…)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a 12-inch skillet over medium heat, sauté ground beef and onion until cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
- Next, add garlic powder, paprika, parsley, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet.
- Then, pour in the milk, broth, tomato sauce, macaroni, and frozen mixed vegetables. Bring the mixture to a boil, cover, and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until the pasta is cooked to al dente, stirring occasionally.
- Once the pasta is ready, stir in 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese until melted. Finally, sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of cheddar cheese on top. Enjoy your delicious meal!
