Ingredients:
4 large potatoes
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions:
Peel and boil the potatoes until they are tender. Drain and allow them to cool.
Mash the potatoes in a large bowl until smooth.
Add breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper to the mashed potatoes. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
Divide the potato mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties.
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they turn golden brown.
Once cooked, transfer the patties to a paper towel-lined plate to remove any excess oil.
Serve the potato patties hot as a side dish or in a burger bun with your favorite toppings.
